twenty minutes
Cookie notice
What the site stores in your browser, and why. In effect from 6 October 2026.
The short version
- Twenty Minutes uses only the cookies it needs to work: two of our own, and a draft saved in your browser. Our host may also set a security cookie, described below.
- There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, so there is nothing to switch off and no banner to click.
What we set
- "mentor_session" keeps you signed in. It lasts 14 days, or until you sign out. Scripts on the page cannot read it, it is only sent over a secure connection, and it is not sent with background requests made from other sites.
- "mentor_signin" remembers that you have started signing in (including the email address the code went to) for the few minutes between the email screen and the code screen. It expires after 10 minutes.
- A draft in your browser's local storage. When you write a brief, we save what you have typed on your own device so that closing the tab does not cost you your work. It never leaves your device until you send the brief, and it is cleared when you do.
Both cookies are strictly necessary: without them you cannot sign in and the site cannot work. Under most privacy rules, necessary cookies do not need your consent, which is why there is no cookie banner. A banner would suggest a choice that does not exist.
What we do not do
- We use no analytics and no advertising. Apart from the one security cookie described below, no company other than us sets a cookie on our pages.
- We load no scripts, fonts or images from other sites. Our fonts are served from our own site, and the site is set up to refuse to load anything from another origin.
- We do not track you across other sites.
One exception we do not control
Our host, Vercel, runs a security check in front of the site. If your traffic looks suspicious, for example from an automated tool, Vercel may show a challenge and set its own security cookie (named "_vcrcs") to remember that you passed it. That cookie is Vercel's, it is there to protect the site from abuse, and we do not use it for anything else. Most visitors never receive it.
Your choices
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookies, you will not be able to sign in. You can clear a saved draft by clearing the site's data in your browser.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals: we do not track you across sites and we do not sell or share your information for advertising, so there is nothing for them to switch off.
